With over 20 years’ experience teaching music in the primary sector and privately, Fiona offers high-quality music education grounded in Kodály methodology. Lessons are carefully tailored to each student, building strong foundations, confidence and genuine musical understanding.
Lessons are available in-person (travel distance dependent: south east London / Bromley based) or online via Zoom.

Fiona works with schools to deliver high-quality classroom music, musicianship and curriculum-linked learning embedded in Kodály principles. Programmes can be adapted to suit the needs of individual schools and year groups.

Fiona has been teaching music in the primary sector for the past 20 years and is a dedicated Kodály specialist and flautist.
She studied flute with Sarah O’Flynn at Goldsmiths, University of London, and is currently working towards her LRSM in flute with Anna Kondrashina.
Fiona has studied Kodály methodology with leading figures in the Kodály world, including Cyrilla Rowsell, David Vinden, Selena Kay, Bori Szirányi of the Liszt Academy, among others. These influences shape a teaching approach that is structured, engaging and highly effective.
Fiona believes that every child (and adult) can become musically literate. Her lessons are designed to motivate, encourage independent learning, build confidence and spark creativity.
